2024 Colorado Performance

Powering the 2024 Colorado is Chevy’s proven 2.7-liter Turbocharged Inline-4 with Active Fuel Management and Auto Start/Stop technology. On the base WT and LT trims, the 2.7 Turbo delivers 237 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. Available on the WT and LT and standard on the Z71 and Trail Boss is the 2.7 Turbo Plus, which has an output of 310 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, the 2.7 Turbo High Output comes standard on the ZR2 and makes the same 310 horsepower, with an increase to 430 lb-ft of torque. All trim levels come standard with Chevrolet’s Hydra-Matic 8L80 Gen II 8-speed automatic transmission. Two-wheel drive is standard on the WT and LT but can be optioned with Four-wheel drive. The ZR2, Trail Boss, and Z71 are only available with 4WD.

More 2024 Colorado Capability

The base trim WT and LT models can tow up to 3,500 lbs with the standard 2.7 Turbo. Optioning the 2.7 Turbo Plus bumps you up to 7,700 lbs of towing ability when properly equipped. The ZR2 is able to tow 6,000 lbs. For 2024 all Chevy Colorados come with a 21.4-gallon fuel tank. The EPA estimated fuel economy of the 2WD WT and LT trims is 20 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, respectively. When optioning 4WD, they both achieve up to 19 city and 23 highway miles per gallon. Moving up to the Trail Boss and Z71, coming standard with 4WD, are able to get 17 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. The top-of-the-line ZR2 gets 17 city and 21 highway.

2024 Chevy Colorado Interior

The Colorado’s interior is all-new, featuring an 11.3” touchscreen infotainment display. With segment-first Google technology built-in with Maps, Music, and various vehicle functions, among other things. There are now 10 different camera angles accessible via the infotainment display, including an underbody camera for Z71 and ZR2 models, the first of any truck in this class.

Offroading and Hitch Technologies

Off-roading is an important part of Colorado’s capabilities, and with the all-new Off-Road Performance display, you will have access to various pieces of data by way of a smartphone app. When using the app, you will be able to look at data readouts for Overlanding, Terrain, and Baja settings. This will allow you to see details like altitude, GPS guidance, pitch, roll, tire pressures, g-force, and wheel-slip indicator, along with the status of your transfer case. Hitch Guidance is now standard and Hitch View is new for 2024. These features will assist in lining up your trailer hitch when reversing up to a trailer.
