Top Features of the 2025 Suburban That Will Excite You
Sep 02, 2024 - 3 minute read
The 2025 Chevrolet Suburban is taking the extra-large SUV to new luxury heights, truly rivaling the most expensive offerings from Cadillac, Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and the like. The Suburban also happens to be the oldest nameplate in automotive history, first taking to the roads in 1935, which beats the second oldest, the F-150, by thirteen years. The biggest Chevy ever is also celebrating 90 years of existence in 2025.
A Big Update
While the 2025 Chevy isn’t a full redesign, it is a significant enough update that will have customers really excited with the addition of some of the latest and greatest tech and safety features. This article will focus on the top features that will make it even easier to fall in love with the big people mover.
A More Focused Interior
When it comes to the interiors of modern vehicles, they need to be driver-oriented. That is to say, not too distracting while still having loads of information and features simultaneously. The 2025 Suburban does just that by giving drivers and passengers the freedom to have a brand new 17.7-inch touchscreen display plus an 11-inch digital gauge cluster. Both screens will display every piece of information drivers need while making life easier when backing up to a trailer and towing. Because of the more ergonomic layout, the wireless charger is more conveniently placed.
The Best Engines
An engine can absolutely make or break a new car for potential buyers, so with the reliability and likability of the 5.3-liter Vortec and 6.2-liter EcoTec3 motors, there was no reason to mess with success. However, buyers looking for a little more oomph will be happy with the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel that now produces 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque, which is an increase of 28 horsepower and 35 lb-ft of torque. Chevrolet has said they added extra sound deadening for the Duramax to make things a little quieter. They gave the engine new fuel injectors with a higher flow, upgraded the piston-cooling oil jets, tuned the turbo compressor for better performance, added steel pistons, and used Active Thermal Management to further tweak the temperature control for the cooling system.

A New Suspension for Better Control and Confidence
Buyers will find the optional Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control to be a wonderful addition. Along with the redesigned rear suspension, it will undoubtedly give a more refined ride while also improving handling characteristics. Updated steering responses offer better confidence for drivers, too. Premier and High Country models arrive standard with Magnetic Ride Control, and the feature is optional on RST and Z71 trim levels. The Air Ride Adaptive Suspension is available on Z71, High Country, and RST.
Excellent Safety Technology
All Suburban models will benefit greatly from new and improved safety and technology equipment, including a new interior sensor called Interior Motion Detection, which can detect if a person or animal has been left unattended and sound the vehicle’s alarm progressively to get the owner’s attention. A new feature, Connected Cameras, allows owners to remotely look at vehicle interior and exterior images through a network of cameras. Customers will be able to see 360-degree views, automatic crash recording, security recording, live view, and My Recordings through a dash cam function. The information can be stored with cloud-based storage.
